1 Peter 4:10 · WEBThe gifts we receive from God are entrusted to us for service. They are not merely evidence of personal ability; they are ways through which God’s grace can reach other people. Discovering purpose includes learning how to steward what He has placed within us.
Comparison can make us undervalue our contribution. We see a gift that appears more visible or impressive and conclude that ours matters less. Yet the needs within the body of Christ are varied, and the grace God supplies is not expressed through one kind of person or one kind of service.
Your ability to teach, organize, encourage, create or care may meet a need someone else cannot meet in the same way. Growth is still necessary, and humility remains important. We can develop our gifts without turning them into a measure of our worth.
Today, ask God where your contribution could strengthen another person. Be willing to serve before the opportunity looks impressive. Welcome correction and learn from others as you grow. The aim is not to become indispensable, but to become a faithful steward of grace that belongs to God and is given for the good of others.
I steward the gifts God has given me for the good of others and the glory of His name. I refuse comparison and remain willing to learn. My contribution has a place, and I receive grace to serve with humility, diligence and love.
Father, thank You for the gifts You have entrusted to me. Show me how to use them to strengthen others. Deliver me from comparison and the need for recognition. Help me develop faithfully, receive correction humbly and serve in a way that reflects Your grace rather than draws attention to myself.
